Butoh Morning Class

Performance description
International artists Daniel Somerville and Yuka Negoro will share their practice in two morning classes. The classes will allow participants to experience butoh* training rooted in each artist’s individual practice and also offer insights into the compositional and choreographic strategies Yuka and Daniel are using in their performance-making work with local artists.
Prior *Butoh* training or experience is not required, nor is an advanced movement or dance practice. Participants should come dressed in comfortable clothes and prepared to move and explore.

**The June 19 lesson will be taught by Daniel Somerville and the June 20 lesson will be taught by Yuka Negoro.*
