MOVE Ostrava

The aim of MOVE Ostrava is to support and cultivate the contemporary dance, circus, and movement theatre scene in Ostrava as well as in other regions, thereby promoting the decentralization of Czech dance. As part of its year-round programming, it focuses on engaging the general audience as well as on the development of professional expertise. Other tools for development include residencies, original creation, production, and workshops. All activities are interconnected in the form of the MOVE Fest, which the organization prepares for Ostrava, Košice, and Valašské Meziříčí.

MOVE was established in 2014 as a project of the Cooltour Cultural Center and since 2021 has continued this activity as an independent association, MOVE Ostrava, z.s.
