Nachtluft riecht besser + A Story of ‘I’
Place: Praha 3, Ponec – divadlo pro tanecPerformance description
*Two original choreographies by students of the HAMU Dance Department will be presented during the evening.**
**Kseniia Serykh**: *Nachtluft riecht besser* – *Who is the keeper of our memories? Regardless how good or bad they have been, they keep us hostage of those emotions. As Haruku Murakami said: “No matter how much suffering you went through, you never wanted to let go of those memories”. But what if the only choice to move on is to leave them behind? The same goes in this story, like foggy night air memories surround us, leaving the question what to do with them floating around.*
**Ji-Eun Lee**: *A Story of ‘I’* – *‘I’ as me, myself, and ego. Multiple paths to ‘I’. Whichever way ‘I’ takes, ‘I’ approaches ‘I’.‘I’ never changes, but the path and timeline change. Within ‘I’ there exist uncountable names.* This piece explores multiple identities of ‘I’. By describing multiple ways of observing the world surrounding ‘I’, this piece shows either how meta recognition of ‘I’ manifests in human perception of the world in which ‘I’ exists or, alternatively, how ‘I’ may be unable to recognize itself in the context of its own existence.
*This piece is created based on the work *Play.Back.Again.Then.
