Education

I studied Czech language in Deaf Communication at the Institute of Deaf Studies at the Faculty of Arts, Charles University.

I have been dancing since I was eight years old. At first only as a dancer, later, after completing a three-year educational cycle: Teacher of Rhythmic, Dance and Movement Education at the Pedagogical Centre Brno, I started teaching. Pedagogically and choreographically, I was active mainly in the dance studio Pernula Třebíč. I now teach courses for adult beginners and intermediates in Prague.

In 2010 and 2011 I was the main teacher and coordinator of dance courses for deaf children and students within the DEAFDANCE project. The project culminated in the final performance Tanec Na zábradlí, where deaf dancers performed. I continue teaching physical and dance education for the Deaf at the primary school for the hearing impaired in Radlice, but only in the form of workshops.

In 2007 and 2008, I was the main organizer of the Roztančená Třebíč festival, which sought to connect individual arts through various dance seminars and integrated movement workshops with handicapped children. More at pernula.ic.cz.

I have been the internal editor of Taneční aktuality.cz since 2008 and occasionally contributed to the magazine Pampam, Litenky, etc.
