Swan Lake is one of the world’s most performed and famous ballets. The motives of Scandinavian folk tale and legend about a girl cursed to be a swan inspired Tchaikovsky to write this lyrical music. Music that later became an example of a romantic ballet score. Princess Odette is enchanted by Baron Rothbart into a swan and can be saved only by true love.
