Vize tance

Vize tance unites professionals who work in an independent way, whether they are individuals or organizations who work on the contemporary art scene in the field of dance and movement art throughout the Czech Republic.

Vize tance as a professional organization is a platform for all professions that are indispensable for the development of movement art: for professional artists, playwrights, technicians and others, for executive professions such as production, cultural managers, PR managers, fundraisers, etc., as well as for theorists and the critical community.

Vize tance networks, connects project-oriented professionals at the national and international level, even though our members include entire ensembles and contributory organizations.

Members of the Vize tance create strategies for the development of the field of dance and movement arts, deepen partnerships and lobbying, and is a platform for up-to-date professional information.

Vize tance prepares the conditions for the work needs of its members: innovation, mobility, networking, discovering new horizons and new ways of working.

Vize tance helps to build infrastructure, creates a procedural framework, contributes to a meaningful and successful presentation of the work, helps to meet the audience and the whole society.

Vize tance is an important partner for institutions in the field of solving professional issues, it works to increase awareness of the field among the general public or it is fundamentally involved in the formulation of the further direction of the field.

History

The organization was established in 2008, following the activities of the informal professional platform of the same name, whose members met for the first time in January 2006. Their professional discussions and activities resulted in an initiative to create a Program to Support Contemporary Dance, which was presented at an international conference in December 2008. Since then, Vision has been an important partner for institutions in the field of professional issues, working to raise awareness of the field among the general public or to play a key role in formulating the future direction of the field.
